Community Inspections
The Architecture Committee conducts community inspections to maintain the serviceability and safety of common areas and verify the upkeep of each home according to our Bylaws.
Inspection of Public Areas Primarily Include:
- Safety inspections of the playgrounds and public
- Ensures the continued safety of equipment, trash buildup
- Identifying overgrown or dead trees creating a safety hazard
- Inspecting excessive mold dirt buildup on common area sidewalks
- Validating the work of the landscaping service
Inspection of Family Homes Primarily Include:
- Your home is in good repair and in a state of neat appearance
- Frequent pruning and cutting of all trees and shrubbery, consistent with good property management and maintenance
- Unauthorized/Unapproved architectural changes
Things to consider when preparing for inspection.
- Lawn Maintenance: i.e. edging of lawn, overgrown weeds in flower beds sidewalks and driveway cracks, trimmed hedges, shrubs or trees, excessive weeds in lawns, etc.
- Property Cleanliness: i.e. excessive mold or dirt stains on house/driveways, front porches, steps, sidewalks, and driveways, faded paint on trim, shutters, and fences. Unauthorized items stored at the front of the house and notable lack of maintenance etc.
- Unauthorized/Unapproved architectural changes: May include wrong paint colors on doors, shutters or trim, unapproved storage shed additions, windows, mismatched worn mailboxes/lettering, noticeable wires or cables, missing shutters, condition of front and side windows, etc.
