Excessive Weeds in my lawn: If you don’t take care of your lawn properly in the springtime your lawn will become populated with weeds for the remainder of the year. Homeowners in our community are required to keep their lawns seeded and sodded to maintain the upkeep of our neighborhood. Though dealing with weeds can be time consuming their are some commonsense techniques you can use to prevent them.

Hole/Cavity Under Basement Walkout Steps: Caused by uneven dirt settling under the steps, poor water drainage or garden moles.  Not easily visible with the grass covering this up but you should routinely check this area for a hidden cavity.  If there is a problem get this fixed immediately.

Roof gable top vent cap: The roof gables on our homes have a cost efficient vent cap which for many residents fail after several years.  Most notable sign this is a problem is after a hard rain you notice the ceiling on the second floor is wet.

Water drainage around front porch sidewalks: Water coming off the roof over our garages near the front porch must be guided away from the walkways.  If not the excessive water will cause damage to your front steps.

Sump pump going off continually after a hard rain: Have a certified contractor inspect your home for water drainage around your house and get the sump pump system inspected.

Soil erosion: As the dirt settles outside your home you will have to continue to add backfill dirt to restore proper drainage.

Fading paint on shutters: Inspect the paint around the doors windows or trim every year to ensure it is not chipping.

Mold/Mildew buildup on driveway, front porch, steps and siding.  About every two years it is recommended you pressure wash these areas to control the growth of mold and mildew
